MJ confirmed that his main reason for his dissatisfaction of his appearance was due to his father’s verbal abuse toward his facial appearance. MJ mentioned that Joe would often come around and bully him and tease him how big his nose were and how ugly he looked.

Clandestine Visits: Nose Work
Like many patients, Jackson sought to hide his cosmetic surgery from the public. Michael Jackson always wanted to do these operations in a clandestine manner. They were done in the evening when personnel had to come in so no one else in the office could see him going in or out. Eventually, the surgeries took a toll on his face. His nose became so small there was barely anything left for a nose because he was operated repeatedly; more than 10-12 surgeries every two years.
 

Pale Skin
Mike suffered from several skin disorders one of them was vitiligo: a skin disorder that destroys pigment-producing cells, causing depigment patches and uneven skin tones. MJ was in extreme case of vitiligo because he was totally speckled all over his body, but showed significantly on his face hands, which were especially difficult to treat.

He had two choices, he could have used ultraviolet light treatments to make the white spots turn dark or use a hydroquinone derivatives (drug substances), that would make the dark spots turn light. Eventually, Mike used the hydroquinone derivative cream to even out the pigments totally colorless.

Cleft Chin/Dimples/Etc.

Michael had also gone through couple of chin clefts and a dimples surgery, tattooed his eyebrow and eyelashes and even implanted a balloon in his scalp after a severe three-degree burn. Due to his several surgical procedures he wasn’t able to be free from public criticism. His criticism was mostly about the obsession of wanting to turn from black to white. The majority would propose that his obsession of transformation began after his video: Thriller, where he turns into a werewolf. Counting in the fact that he simply wanted to utterly redo his face from scratch and reconstruct his entire face was mad.
