Off the Wall
Michael Jackson had recorded solo prior to the release of Off the Wall in 1979. But this was his breakthrough; the album itself had established him as an artist of astonishing talent and a bright star. It definately was a visionary album, a record that found a way to break disco wide open into a new world where the beat was undeniable.
Thriller
Thriller album by Michael Jackson was released Oct 16, 2001 on the Sony Music label. It is one of the finest examples of a perfect disco pop, a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what a pop music can be. In this album Jackson's whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies.
Dangerous
The booklet for Dangerous begins with a short prose poem by Michael Jackson describing the release of what a singer feels while dancing: "Creator and creation merge into one wholesome of joy" until "there is only ... the dance."
Bad
Bad is the seventh studio album by American recording artist Michael Jackson. The album was released on August 31, 1987, nearly five years after Jackson's previous studio album, Thriller, which went on to become the world's best-selling album. Bad itself has sold between 30 ~ 45 million copies worldwide, shipped 8 million units in the United States alone, and has been cited as the fifth best selling album of all time. The album produced five Hot 100 number ones, the first album ever to do so. Similar to Jackson's previous music material, the album's music features elements of R&B, pop and rock.
History: Past,Present, Future Book1
Michael Jackson's double-disc HIStory: Past, Present, and Future, Book I is a monumental achievement of ego. Titled "History Begins," the first disc is a collection of his post-Motown hits, featuring some of the greatest music in pop history, including "Billie Jean," "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," "Beat It," and "Rock with You."
Invincible
Up to now the album has reportedly sold 8 - 10 million copies. Although a high selling album compared to other artists, it was much lower than Michael's previous releases. This was primarily due to the lack of promotion by Sony Music. Michael and the music company fell out and he accused them of not promoting the album. After the first single "You Rock My World" was released it became clear that Sony Music were not interested in promoting the album.
